"Come on," Rose murmured softly, pushing the Poffins towards me.
"Eat up, Seven. It's your dinner. You won't get any more after this unless you eat it all." Even without eyesight I could tell her eyes shone with genuine warmth and a smile was on her face, but inside my stomach was churning. I felt like I had to throw up.
Reluctantly I bent down and took a miniscule bite out of the warm, freshly baked strawberry bread-like substance. I chewed slowly, breathing in my surroundings. The crisp, clean antiseptic smell suggested we were in a Pokemon Center. I could hear footfalls as Trainers and their Pokemon shuffled around, buying food from the PokeMart in the corner and resting up for another long day of training.
"What's with you, bud?" Rose asked, gently stroking my spine. "Nurse Joy took good care of you. She healed all your wounds and gave you a nice bath. What's wrong now, baby?"
I lowered my head. Today's battle had made me realize I couldn't go on like this. I was being caged, jaile
